Born to a Bengali family in New Delhi on January 7, 1979, Bipasha Basu is the second of three daughters to her parents. Though born in Delhi, soon her family shifted base to Kolkata, where she spent her most childhood.
Acting came accidental to her life. Initially, she was interested to become a doctor, so she studied science till her 12th standard, but then her interest grew to become a Chartered accountant, so she studied commerce in college.
